What we store

• Account: your email address and display name. If you log in with Google we receive your name and email address from Google.
• Announcements: hut, dates and number of people. These are public together with your display name.
• Pinboard posts and reports: the text you write. Posts are public together with your display name.
• Cookies: only technically necessary cookies for login and your language choice. No tracking, no advertising.

Why

To run the service you asked for: showing which huts people plan to visit and letting hikers talk to each other (contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and to keep the site free of abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How long

Data is kept as long as your account exists. When you delete your account (under “My trips”), your account and announcements are deleted; your pinboard posts remain without your name (shown as “Deleted user”).

Service providers

• Supabase (database and login), servers in the EU.
• Vercel (hosting).
• Google (only if you choose “Continue with Google”).
• OpenStreetMap Foundation (map tiles; your browser loads them directly).
